The Dead Muse Challenge is simple. You'll get a prompt (it could be a simple line or a picture or even something else) to which challenge acceptors will create a short story and illustrate it with images from SL. Alternatively, if you do not wish to write a whole short story, you may just create an image that will tell the story for you. Heck, you could just write a story and not illistrate it at all!
Simple, right? Great!
Each challenge will run for a week and a new challenge will be released every Wednesday. This is not to say that you must do every challenge or that you have to do the challenges in order. The idea of the Dead Muse Challenge is to awaken your muse and allow you to be extremely creative. Embrace it!

I still have to do Bright Turquoise and Shuttle Grey. I also need to look around for Thistle! On top of this, I told Leli that I wouldn't do any shopping until I did two blog posts for which I have done absolutely no shopping for. So, I gave myself the challenge... The reward will be shopping at Fantasy Faire with Leli! And no, I won't be counting this post as one of the two that I need to do for my reward. :P
So, for this image in which I have entitled 'Gemini Sisters', I pulled Akemo over to my house and made her get down to her under-roos. I dropped a pose box above my house, colored the background in a smokey white color and dropped down the Gemini Pose from F*cking Ninjas'. I then put up two lights at different heights and distances. The effect was a strange dual shadow that I aged with a nice rusty texture.
I think I am in love with the sepia tone and the gritty feel to the full sized image.
There a lot of songs that have resonated with me. One of those songs is 'Your Sympathy (27 Days)' by Laura Higgins. I don't know why it hits me like it does but there is just something about it that clicks with me. I understand it on a deep level and I respond to it in a way that is not really describable. That is why I chose the song for my 'A Picture's Worth 1000 Words' challenge.
So what did I do? I set up a scene and I called my friend Akemo over to pose with me.

In both worlds, there is one person that I know I an lean on no matter what happens. This person is my soul sister. Akemo Draegonne and I have known each other since 2003 and I cannot imagine my life without her. We have the kind of relationship in which we can not speak for months or even years, when we connect again it is as if no time has passed.
She is my friend, my sister, my confidant and my very best friend.
